Based on Alice Duer Miller’s novel/stage play, Gowns by Roberta, the first of Fred and Ginger’s movies in 1935 is widely overlooked in favor of Top Hat. Not that I begrudge Top Hat its status, but Roberta is a particular favorite of mine.
