I love this scene! Even if the script was bad, the musical songs and numbers in BLUE SKIES (1946) were really wonderful and memorable. Here’s Bing Crosby singing “All By Myself” with Joan Caulfield.
The innovative Fred Astaire: here’s the greatest moment of my life. ohhhh to have had his babies….
That’s all I’ve got to say.
“Puttin’ on the Ritz” from BLUE SKIES (1946).
Blue Skies (1946)
“A Couple of Song and Dance Men” performed by Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.
“…it goes to show what women will do when we’re around”
“when my voice hits the air”
“And my feet hit the ground”
It’s adorable actually. You can totally tell that Crosby is not a dancer when he’s dancing next to Astaire. And holy crap Fred’s so skinny! I never really noticed until I watched this film the other day, when he’s standing next to the plump Crosby!
